Varieties:
Vine variety requirements for this appellation's area change according to type.
Type Bianco Classico: Riesling and/or Riesling italico, 70%; other local non-aromatic white varieties, up to 15%.
Type Rosso Classico, Chiaretto Classico and Rosé: Groppello, up to 30%; Marzemino, up to 5%; Sangiovese, at least 5%; Barbera, at least 5%; other local non-aromatic varieties, up to 10%.
Type Frizzante: Garganega and/or Chardonnay, 100%
Varietal types: the blend proportions are always the same, variety indicated in the type name, 85%; other similar varieties admitted under the DOC law, 15%.
