	Vine variety requirements for this appellation's area change according to type. Type Bianco: Trebbiano toscano (Procanico), 40-80%; Malvasia toscana and/or Malvasia del Lazio, up to 30%; other local white varieties up to 30%. Types Rosso and Rosato: Sangiovese, 50-65%; Montepulciano, 20-45%; other local red varieties, up to 30%. Type Procanico: Trebbiano toscano, 85%; other local white varieties, up to 15%; although grapes of the Malvasia di Candia are excluded. Type Grechetto: Greco bianco (Grechetto), 85%; other local white varieties, up to 15%; although grapes of the Malvasia di Candia are excluded. Type Rossetto: Trebbiano giallo (Rossetto) 85%; other local white varieties, up to 15%; although grapes of the Malvasia di Candia are excluded. Type Moscatello: Moscato bianco (Moscatello) 85%; other local white varieties, up to 15%; although grapes of the Malvasia di Candia are excluded. Type Violone: Montepulciano (Violone) 85%; other local red varieties, up to 15%; although grapes of the Ciliegiolo are excluded. Varietal types: the blend proportions are always the same, variety indicated in the type name, 85%; other similar varieties admitted under the DOC law, 15%.
