The Talis vineyards are nestled amidst a luscious landscape cradled by the sea and sheltered by the Julian Alps, a terrain of lush and verdant hills that descend gently towards the sunny plains; this land, bordered by Austria and Slovenia, is called Friuli. A fusion of six independent producers, Talis is inspired by the dream of continuing the time -honoured wisdom of generations of Friulian winemakers. White and red wines that capture and embody the smells, spirit, and essential character of this very special land.
The bond that Talis enjoys with the land is expressed in its respect for and protection of the environment. This affinity with nature is at the heart of the Talis philosophy, as is its commitment to maintaining the traditions of local viticulture and passing on the experience and knowledge of generations of Friulian winemakers.
Thanks to the expertise employed in the vineyards, there is minimal intervention in the wine cellar. The fermentation process is achieved using traditional methods complimented by the most advanced oenological knowledge. Vinification is carried out in steel, wood and cement vats at controlled temperatures. The essences released by the wood further enhance the fragrance and flavour of the wine, recapturing the taste and evoking the history and memories of the wine produced in these hills.
