Speaker

Lamberto Vallarino Gancia is President of FEDERVINI.

He was born in Canelli, Piedmont, and represents the fifth generation of the Gancia family that owns the homonymous company originally founded in 1850. Gancia obtained a degree in Sciences of Fermentation from the University of UC Davis in California, and the title of Enologist in Italy.

In 2004 he was appointed President of the European Association of Wine Enterprises based in Brussels and in 2008 President of Federvini, the Italian Federation of wines, spirits and vinegar producers. He is also President of the Alta Langa DOCG Consortium, a member of the Italian National Committee for the Protection and Evaluation of the Denominations of Origin (as established by the Italian Minister of Agriculture), a member of ONAV (Italian national organization of wine tasters) and a member of the Wine and Vine Academy
